It has been three long years since we overhauled our website. It was a good one, but it was time to let it go and build new! Other than the aesthetics of the website, we have worked tirelessly to make the new site much more user friendly and provide resources that will hopefully make the customer service experience much easier!
So, what's new?
Well, for one, we have lowered our free shipping threshold to $35 from $50. While we aren't Amazon, we want to be able to provide lower costs shipping solutions that better fit the fulfillment requests we have from our customers.
Second, we have added back in some expedited shipping options. Even if you have free standard first class shipping, you can now upgrade to Priority which provides insurance and tracking for just 5 bucks.
We have also added Priority Mail Express overnight options from USPS. Most Express options arrive within 1 business day or overnight, but they do have blackout area and exceptions, so if you absolutely need it next day, please reach out to customer service at Hello@thekyshop.com and they will be glad to see what options work best across all shipping providers and arrange that option for your package.
The Free Return & Exchange Portal
One thing we hoped to provide with our new website is an easy way for customers to log on, create a return label for a return or exchange, print the label on their home computer, and ship it back to us for free. We never want our customers second guessing a purchase, so if you have concerns or simply would like something different, no big deal, we've got it covered in the free returns portal.
Joni and Rick's Journal
We have long has a blog built into our website that we did not use! This year that changes and we will have all of our latest news and happenings updated through our journal. This will be important for release dates, pop up shops, in-store events and more!
Over the last year, we have heard our customers asking for extended sizing! While not every option will always be available in smaller or larger sizes, we are hoping to expand most of our products to be more inclusive. However, if you don't see something on the site, please just ask! Customer service will try their best to fill any customs requests!
We have partnered with our point of sale provider to offer Shop Pay. Shop Pay is much like any other deferred payment provider that will allow you to break up any purchases over 4 payments if necessary.
Joni's Southern Shop and Expanded Offerings
We love selling apparel, obviously. However, we have made the decision to add the accessories that were exclusive to our Flagship store - The Shop. You will see all kinds of new items outside apparel coming to the online store. Further, in a few weeks we will be launching Joni's Southern Shop within the Shop Local Kentucky website to highlight local makers and brands from Kentucky and all across the south. Stay tuned as we collaborate with other small makers and brands and bring them to Shop Local Kentucky.
While we loved our old website, it just wasn't quite as friendly in it's old age as it once was! We overhauled the search algorithm for the site to make it easy to find exactly what you are looking for! Looking for something from the Lucky in Kentucky collection? Just type 'Lucky' in the top search bar and you'll find it!
The old site did not have options to sort and filter our wares. We get it! You may want to see best sellers, sort by size, price, color! All of those options are active now or will be active shortly!
PeeWee's Reward Program
We love our customers and it is way past time for us to reward y'all every time you purchase or refer a friend, so we will be launching our new rewards program, 'PeeWee's Rewards' named for our regal courier pony, PeeWee. Basically, every time you shop, you earn rewards that can be redeemed towards discounts on future purchases and if you happen to want to tell your friends and they come on over to the site, you will receive rewards points and discounts for your referral! Our way of saying thanks in a small way!
